{"id":565,"date":"2018-12-08T14:29:29","date_gmt":"2018-12-08T20:29:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casualnotice.com\/?p=565"},"modified":"2023-09-13T13:00:28","modified_gmt":"2023-09-13T18:00:28","slug":"beach-house-oatmeal-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casualnotice.com\/?p=565","title":{"rendered":"Beach House Oatmeal Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This lighter oatmeal cookie has quickly become Donna&#8217;s fave cookie.<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1-1\/2 cups A\/P flour<\/li>\n<li>1\/2\u00a0 cup Old Fashioned oatmeal<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp baking soda<\/li>\n<li>1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 cup light brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<li>1 cup dried berries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preheat your oven to 375\u00b0 (F).<\/strong> In a smallish bowl mix the flour, oatmeal, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Whip the butter to make sure it&#8217;s uniformly soft. blend in the eggs, one at a time. Add the brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla, and blend them in until smooth. Slowly add the dry mix. Add the berries (I use a premix called &#8220;Berries and Golden Raisins&#8221; available at Wal-Mart, it has a good balance of cherries, cranberries, and golden raisins).<\/p>\n<p>Roll the dough into balls about 1 tablespoon each, and bake on a cookie sheet for 8 &#8211; 10 minutes.
