{"id":264,"date":"2014-07-25T00:52:55","date_gmt":"2014-07-25T05:52:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casualnotice.com\/?p=264"},"modified":"2014-07-23T07:09:02","modified_gmt":"2014-07-23T12:09:02","slug":"casual-friday-pickup-lines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casualnotice.com\/?p=264","title":{"rendered":"Casual Friday\u2014Pickup Lines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.casualnotice.com\/cncomic\/cn050221.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.casualnotice.com\/cncomic\/comics\/050221.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"1421\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have to admit, I miss cigarettes.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I know that cigarettes are deadly, and I do not wish that anyone who is conscious of that fact gets themselves hooked by a nicotine addiction again.\u00a0 I just wish that cigarettes were still a little socially acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>There was never an easier way to meet a stranger than to need or offer a light for a cigarette.\u00a0 Also, cigarettes were the best hand-prop ever.\u00a0 You have an actor who&#8217;s all hands?\u00a0 Put a cig in one of them and watch him settle down and start acting with his whole body.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a smoker, and I have no plans to give it up, because I like smoking.\u00a0 Yes, I know I&#8217;m addicted to nicotine.\u00a0 Yes, smoking will kill me.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t care.\u00a0 I enjoy smoking; I enjoy the action.\u00a0 I do not apologize for it, either.\u00a0 I go out of my way to be courteous with my smoking (if you engage in a potentially detrimental behavior, you should make every reasonable attempt not to burden others with your choices).<\/p>\n<p>Of course, these days, the fact that I smoke at all makes me worse than Hitler.\u00a0 If I was one of those douchebags who lights up even in places where smoking is strictly prohibited (are they still a thing?) or one of those idiots who thinks an electronic cigarette is an excuse to &#8220;light up&#8221; wherever I want, I&#8217;d understand the animosity.\u00a0 But, you know what?\u00a0 If I&#8217;m outside, a minimum 25 foot distance from the nearest public entrance to a building, and your danger of &#8220;second-hand smoke&#8221; is even lower than that noted in the one disproved study that created the idea in the public mind\u2014if that&#8217;s the case, then you need to shut the fuck up and leave me alone.<\/p>\n<p>I mean&#8230;um&#8230;yeah&#8230;I miss cigarettes&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have to admit, I miss cigarettes.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I know that cigarettes are deadly, and I do not wish that anyone who is conscious of that fact gets themselves hooked by a nicotine addiction again.\u00a0 I just wish that cigarettes were still a little socially acceptable.
